History

Dion Gallery was founded in 1991 by Jeff Dion with the purpose to celebrate, promote and exhibit works of Art that captured the Southern California beach/surf culture thereby raising the aesthetic quality of the community and it's citizens. The seed was planted back in 1972 when Jeff's family first moved to Pacific Palisades, Ca. - just 4 blocks from the beach. With endless days spent bodysurfing, skateboarding and exploring the coast, a deep and lifelong love of the Pacific Ocean developed. With Art School and years of gallery management under his belt, the time arrived to make a go of it out on his own.

The idea was simple: open a full service gallery near the beach offering affordable Fine Art and Custom Picture Framing with unsurpassed customer service & design, that conveyed the lifestyle, atmosphere and aesthetic beauty unique to our beach communities. We wanted locals to walk in and say "I'm right at home here, this artwork really speaks to ME!"  Whether it be a vast expansive seascape, surfers ripping, beach volleyball , local piers, cruising the bikepath or just sunbathing under a warm Sun, a glowing sunset, a stroll along the shore, toddlers digging in the sand, seagulls soaring or dolphins playing, these are some of the things we love and are why we live here.  The concept worked and we were thrilled to discover that visitors far & wide also shared in our enthusiasm for all things "beach".

Over the years we've developed relationships with literally thousands of clients and patrons in the South Bay & beyond and are ever grateful for their ongoing loyalty, support and interest. We are proud members of this wonderful community and will continue our goal to present the finest artwork available as well as custom picture framing that is delivered with

friendly personalized design, speed and affordability.
